Banks

Banks are financial institutions that handle money in some degree. There are two different banks in the nation. The first will be the only standard bank in the nation, and that would be the Kaldan National Bank (KNB). This bank handles all of the processing of money and accounts in the nation. Because the currency system is cashless, every person from the time they are born until the time they pass away must have a bank account where they can receive and send money. There has to ba a way to protect assets from bad actors as well.

The second type of bank in Kaldus will be credit banks. These banks will provide credit cards, and loans to people living in the nation. They can offer a physical branch, but this is not needed. The bank can mail a credit card to the consumer, and deposit money directly into the KNB account. They are more likely to support loans for items that do not meet NSC requirements. This could include automobile loans, and mortgages. A credit bank can not provide standard accounts. About the best they can offer is a collateral account for example someone with poor credit might want to acquire a secured credit card.
